In July 2025, Mitchell Starc became the Australian fast bowler to take 400 wickets, moving himself level with prime bowler Glenn McGrath, achieving the feat while playing his 100th Test match during the West Indies series at Sabina Park in Jamaica.
Mitchell Starc Records:
In his 100th Test match, he took 400 Test wickets.
Five wickets in 15 balls is the fastest five-wicket haul in Test history.
Glenn McGrath is the only other Australian fast bowler to achieve this feat.
Fourth overall for Australia (after Nathan Lyon, Shane Warne, and McGrath).
Currently one of the top 18 bowlers in the world with 400 or more Test wickets
He took his five wickets in a very quick manner in the West Indies vs Australia Test series held at Sabina Park which is really amazing, Starc’s bowling has been seen to be more sharp which is really amazing level, most of the maximum balls that Mitchell Starc bowled during the game were in swing balls which the West Indies players may not have understood. He took 3 wickets in his first over and completed 5 wickets in the fifteenth ball, which completed Starc’s new milestone which was 400 wickets in Test cricket in his 15 years of international history.
